A plunge pool is a small, deep pool typically ranging from 6 feet by 10 feet to 10 feet by 16 feet, with a depth of 4 to 5.5 feet. Unlike a full-size pool, a plunge pool is designed for soaking, cooling off, and relaxing rather than lap swimming or large gatherings.
DSH builds plunge pools as custom gunite structures, not pre-formed fiberglass tubs or stock tanks. That means your plunge pool gets the same rebar engineering, soil-specific reinforcement, and construction quality as a full-size DSH pool. Plunge Pool Configurations
Standard Plunge A compact rectangular pool, typically 6×10 to 8×12 feet, with a flat bottom at 4.5 to 5 feet deep. Designed for cooling off, relaxing, and light exercise. Bench seats or a small tanning step can be added.
Heated Plunge / Year-Round Use Add a dedicated heater to use the plunge pool through the North Texas winter. Heat-up time is fast because of the smaller water volume, and operating costs stay low compared to heating a full-size pool.
Cold Plunge / Recovery Pool A plunge pool equipped with a chiller instead of a heater, built for cold water immersion, athletic recovery, and wellness routines. Water temperatures are maintained between 38 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spa-Plunge Hybrid A plunge pool with built-in jets, bench seating, and a spa-grade heating system. Functions as both a cold plunge and a hot tub depending on the temperature setting. One pool, two uses.
Plunge Pool with Attached Deck DSH integrates the plunge pool with a new or existing deck, patio, or outdoor kitchen so the pool fits seamlessly into your outdoor living area instead of sitting in the middle of the yard.
